College Students
The CRMII is located in the heart of Greater Boston’s college country, and we offer students a number of resources to enhance your studies.
Our site is the legendary 1814 Boston Manufacturing Company, America’s first integrated textile mill. Our exhibits and programs are aligned with studies in history, sociology, technology, American studies, industrial archaeology, science, literature, and mathematics.
The museum features a library for scholars interested in researching aspects of the Industrial Revolution, textile manufacturing, watch and clock manufacturing, precision instruments, steam power, and other subjects associated with our site and location in Waltham.
Each year, the museum accepts a limited number of college interns who are interested in pursuing careers in education, history, museum studies, event planning, and nonprofit management.
